GAMESHARK and Pokemon Emerald Help!!!? | Gamer Codes - Nintendo Cheats

Okay so I’m looking through these walkthroughs via Youtube and there are these gameshark tickets and codes. Plus, I see in the descriptions that they are playing on their computer???

Okay so please (filled with detail and steps) how do you use the codes and play the gameboyadvance game (Pokemon Emerald) on the computer!

Answer by Eric Alright..so lets get started..First of all, how they are playing on the PC. They are using an emulator. Basically, its a program that can be downloaded that runs like a console would. The games that are used are called ROMS, which can also be downloaded online from various sites..however technically i believe its illegal to have the ROM for more than a few days if you do not own the original game..For the gameshark cheats..for most of the emulators available they have a cheat option which you just type the code inside.

Now, lets gets started downloading them..You will need to start out by getting a good emulator for GBA, i recommenced getting VisualBoy Advance. The homepage is http://vba.ngemu.com/. When you get there, scroll down a bit till you see.. Click here to download your file:

And download the file (Or just use the link above). You will need 7zip to extract the file though, if you dont have that already download that here. http://www.7-zip.org/. (To extract it after downloading and installing 7zip, just right-click the .7z file just like how you extact a zip file.)

And now the ROMS..again its just a matter of finding a site to download them from..try here http://www.coolrom.com/roms/gba/. Then search for your game, when you find it, download it and extract it. Open up the folder and you should have a file that says Pokemon Emerald.GBA, or something similar.

Now, go back to the emulator and run VisualBoyAdvance-M.exe, which is the emulator. In the emulator, click File – Open GBA…, and search for the ROM, then click Open. It should start up right away.
