Stanley Anthony Serbousek was born to William Henry and Ellen Clara Serbousek December 24, 1935 in Hay Springs, Nebraska. He was called to join the Lord on August 25, 2011 while on a fishing trip in Alaska. While on this earth he was a loving, caring father, physician and friend, accepting every one he knew as family.

He attended Hay Springs High School, Chadron State College and the University of Nebraska Medical School. He married Mary Ann Hanson November 28, 1958 in Omaha, Nebraska. They moved to Spokane, WA to do an internship at Deaconess Hospital. He became a Family Physician at Bassett, NE before being drafted into the U.S. Army in 1962 as a Captain at Fort Lewis, WA where he provided two years of medical service. He practiced in Chadron, NE for 4 years before returning to the beautiful Pacific Northwest to begin an anesthesia residency at Virginia Mason Hospital in Seattle.

He then entered a pediatric residency at the University of Washington. After finishing in 1970 he joined Kitsap Children's Clinic in Bremerton. Twenty years later he opened his own clinic, Central Pediatrics. After his retirement, he retained his medical status by working as a Locum Tenens Pediatrician across the country.

Stan grew up on a farm in Hay Springs, Nebraska, but upon introduction to the Pacific Northwest during his residencies he decided to establish his family in Washington becoming an avid outdoor enthusiast. He enjoyed backpacking, boating, skiing, fishing, and gardening. In addition, he had many hobbies including bonsai, woodworking, and Sudoku.

He was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers, Don, Dick, Rodney, and Bill.
