Early Christmas gift for Mott Community College: Secret Santa donates $30000 ...
FLINT, Michigan — Mott Community College received an early Christmas gift of $30,000 from an anonymous donor, the college announced this morning.
The money will go toward the campus's health sciences division.
The donor, a Flint-area resident who asked to remain anonymous, told MCC Foundation President Lennetta Coney he credited some of his success to the education he received at MCC and wanted to give back to the community, college officials said.
"It is encouraging to know that during these times of economic hardships, people are still giving from what they have," Coney said in a statement."We are grateful for our donors."
I gave a gift to Mott also in the form of a millage tax increase! Just recieved my tax bill, I would like to know what Mott DP is in reference to and why it has gone from a millage of 0.69000 to 0.87000, I do not remember any millage increases voted on. and how do tax's raise without a vote of the people, In a hard economy they just keep taking whatever they want! politics as usual needs to be voted out! and this should be investigated!
