Eating, Drinking, and Shopping in Toronto: A 2011 indieWIRE Insiders Guide

Tens of thousands of people are about to converge on the largest city in Canada to one of the events of the world's largest film, socializing and networking all over town. And while many of them may have probably been around the block a few times in Toronto in the past, this year will be essentially complete move south via the festival festival hub TIFF Bell Lightbox. This is something a football match different in terms of what to do except watch movies.

Keep TIFF newish digs in mind, indieWIRE surveyed a group of locals and insiders in Toronto about their favorite places to eat, drink, shop and relax, including some of our own tips from indieWIRE contributor (and Torontonian) Peter Knegt. The results of our informal, subjective survey - which keeps in mind the geographical south passage of the festival - followed.
