How to get a clean summer base

A clean summer base 'Try to get away with as little make-up as you can in summer - too much looks dated and tacky,' the make-up artist Amanda Jackson-Sytner says. She feels even tinted moisturisers can be tricky to wear when it's warm because they are sometimes heavier than regular foundation and prone to 'slide' in heat. Her best friends in summer are a pressed powder and a cream blusher - she uses the latter to add colour to apples of cheeks so 'they pop forward like little cushions', but recommends going easy on the colour, sticking with natural shades so skin doesn't look overly hot. Then I'll take a little bit of darker liner and just line my eyes really close to the lid.  The result is very pretty - really enhances the eye without screaming EYESHADOW!   I have this in Grey and I can definitely see me picking up a few more colors.
