Phillipsburg police blotter: burglary, assault and criminal mischief
A resident of the first block of Bullman Street in Phillipsburg told police about 7 a.m. Dec. 14 someone had broken into his vehicle overnight. Nothing was reported taken, but the rear driver's side window was damaged.The owner of Paul’s Body Shop in the first block of Abbott Street in Phillipsburg reported the theft of a ladder about 8 p.m. Dec. 14, police say.
The owner valued the 20-year-old, 12-inch aluminum extension ladder at $100.00. He said the ladder was located outside on the southeast corner of the building.

A motorist told Phillipsburg police someone threw a rock at his truck as he approached the overpass on Warren Street near Walters Park, traveling southbound, police say.
The rock struck the hood of his truck, and police observed four small dents toward the front of the hood and three small dents to the back of the hood closest to the windshield.
The driver said he had observed two juvenile males, one wearing a black hat and black and white sweatshirt, standing on the overpass. He observed one of the parties throw the rock at his truck. Both individuals then fled east. Police said a check of the area yielded negative results.
The victim said she had just come home approximately 10 minutes before and was sitting on the couch in her front room when she heard what she thought was her car starting. She looked out the window but did not see anything so she went to the front door and looked outside.
