The poop police are out in force

I’m a walker and I estimate that nine out of ten dog owners are good, responsible people who efficiently retrieve and return the waste material to their home garbage bags thinking nothing of it.  It’s the one dog dufus in ten who believes making their dog’s excrement somebody else’s problem is just a little “oops.” I’ve seen the old guy on Camelot beach whose dog is so tiny, he thinks it’s okay to kick a little sand over the pile.  I have seen a woman walking that same beach who does pick up the dog’s droppings and as soon as she exits through the leafy laneway by the cemetery, she drops the little load.  Exact same bags, I’ve donned the plastic gloves and put them all in a public garbage can, ten steps from where she dropped them. Oh wait, maybe I won’t have to because Poo-Prints, an American BioPet Vet lab now offers a dog doo DNA testing service so you can trace the lumps on your lawn directly back to the crap culprit who left them there.  That’s right, CSI Dungville.  Science has finally caught up to squatting canines and the sneaks at the other end of the leash. Some condo dwellers in the U.S. and Canada are so fed up and furious about neighbourhood feces felons, they are willing to  pay $50 down and a monthly fee of $10 to have all dogs in the complex cheek-swabbed and their DNA profiles put on file.  A smear of the next unclaimed muck is sent to the BioPet Vet Lab in Tennessee and bingo! … you got your dog doo dolt identified. Using the latest in scientific technology to catch a dog doo delinquent!  Now that’s the ‘candoo’ spirit that made America great.  That’s the kind of dogged determination that put a man on the moon which is becoming more attractive as a weekend getaway because … there is no dog poop up there!  Yet.

Please find below information to assist you with our services. Service Days:

Trash – Tuesday & Friday Single-Stream Recycling – Wednesday Yard Waste –Wednesday Bulk Items – Wednesday

Pickup Times for Trash & Recycling: - Please have your bagged or containerized items placed out by 6:00 a.m. on each service day.

Equipment Provided:

CSI will provide each home one (1) Recycling Container & (1) Trash Container. The Trash & Recycling Containers shall remain the property of CSI and as such the Containers should remain with the home while CSI is servicing your community. CSI will repair or replace at no cost where any such repair or replacement becomes necessary due to normal wear and tear. If you are in need of a repair or replacement, please submit a request to CSI. Such repair or replacement shall occur within ten (10) days from the date when CSI received notice. If it is determined that the repair or replacement results from damage due to resident’s neglect, the resident could pay up to $75.00 per container for repair or replacement costs.

Will NOT Pick Up: Rocks, concrete, dirt, tires, soil, sod, tree stumps, paint, motor oil, construction trash/renovation debris, combustibles, toxic or hazardous wastes, or any other material excluded from the disposal site, or by any applicable local, state or federal law, as being hazardous or toxic, such as pesticides, gasoline, propane, paint cans, etc.

As well as flammable products, dead animals, fecal matter, manure, brick, landscaping timbers, friable asbestos, lead acid/wet cell batteries, bio-hazardous material, needles, and other medical waste.
