The Pennsylvania State Police heavily censored the 1,038 moonlighting job requests by troopers and civilian employees before surrendering them under court order to the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review and The Associated Press, yet the agency provided dozens of Social Security numbers and other vital personal information belonging to agency employees.
The state police also leaked the names of undercover narcotics agents -- and in one case his home address -- when they fulfilled a request for documents made by the Trib and the AP in April 2010 under the state's Open Records Law. Officials estimate 36 files they provided on CD-Rom discs contained secret information they shouldn't have shared.
On Aug. 15, officials asked to send troopers to the Trib and the AP to retrieve the discs, promising they would be replaced later with records that had been even more heavily redacted. Both news organizations declined to surrender the discs and have pledged not to release the information.
The glaring disclosures occurred as a surprise because the agency already had heavily redacted information the Trib and the AP legally considered public, including hundreds of businesses where troopers and civilian employees work secondary jobs approved by officials.
Censors redacted two out of every five of those names, even the titles of a cleaning firm and vending machine company owned by a civilian mail clerk in the agency's Harrisburg headquarters.
"The janitorial company might be a home-owned business, and that would provide their home location," Maj. Martin L. Henry III, director of the State Police Bureau of Records and Identification, told the Trib.
Henry said that censors had to broadly redact large portions of the documents to ensure "that our personnel's information is not out there. ... We have some people who are undercover, and we certainly don't want them to be compromised in any way."
Union officials declined to comment.

When looking for a photographer, look at the website portfolio. When you see work you like, ask the photog at the interview to see some work that he / she CONSIDERS unique. Discuss with them what type of look you want. Look at lots of websites to see what it per currently trendy, maybe you’ll see some things you like. Be aware of the time constraint, though. If you only have 30 minutes scheduled for formals, there is a limit to how creative you can be. And unusual posing requires more direction in most cases.
