It is basically three trucks put together. It is part of an ’86, ’97 and a ’05 GMC. I did all the mechanical, all the fittings, drive shafts, shock absorbers and steering. A 1931 Chevy four door sedan I got in 1959 when I got my license at age 16. I purchased it from a lady who worked for McNamara Pontiac in Port Jefferson. I paid $100. It was rusted when I got it and then I painted it candy apple red.
Actually, judging from the several dozen cars on display Sunday, lowriding seems to be mostly about a jaw-dropping paint job, hopefully in a metallic or candy color; plenty of chrome parts; and a sound system that could set off earthquakes at 100 yards
There were trucks, vans, hot rods and muscle cars. About the only thing not on display were motorcycles.The show is a huge draw each year for custom-car owners and the general public looking to get an eyeful of chrome and candy-coated paint jobs.

Now When I was leaving they were still setting up the display for this thing. I got a chance to talk to the owner and his man that did alot of work on the car and although it may not be everyones cup of tea it definitely does have some work put into it and they wanted to make sure everyone knew. For example you maybe asking, “why the hell is the car in the air?!” Well it actually is a spinning podium, yes a spinning podium similar to the ones you may see at dealerships, SEMA, etc. Now I thought it was a little overkill for a car show but he and his kids were out there busting their butts trying to get it together so I had to approach him and ask him what was going on with this. Now I don’t remember the owners name but I do remember literally how hyped he was about his car, to the point that when he was discussing it with me I started getting hyped and i’ll be the first to admit I don’t know shit about Corvette’s haha.
He gave me a walk around on the car and pointed out some small details worked into the car that he and the fabricator have going on with it.
Example: Fiberglass Devil molded into the underside of the sparetire well.
Unfortunately/Fortunately I didn’t get to really capture any other details going on with the car cause for the most part this guy was so excited about the car that I got tied up in conversation with him and his family that by the time I got done talking with him it was time for me to leave.
